Self Doubt | Motivation | Enliven
A sense of anxiety, utter confusion about self-worth, scattered motivation and the feeling of self demolishment is a part of self-doubt. You may have felt it in other forms but the feeling remains constant.
Self-doubt can be the biggest demotivation, the absence of belief corresponds to the absence of hope and self-love. It forces you to think about all the negative outcomes of upcoming events in your life. It scratches on the past wounds and let you bleed every second. In the situation of self-doubt, a person has a constant sense of insecurity about losing everything and everybody. It's like a knife in your heart that cuts every time you breathe.
Everything around you appears black and white and everyone's life appears to be sorted and cheerful. You feel like God has been very unfair to you and that your life sucks. The responsibilities that once motivated you now become a very heavy burden on your chest that constantly remind you of your previous failures and mistakes. You start to regret every decision of your life even if it was worth it. Every achievement that was once cherished by you is now considered a matter of luck rather than hard work. You don't feel like doing something new or restarting from zero.
But why do we feel self-doubt??
It is the expectations from the self that when breaks create self-doubt. We expect so and so marks, ranks and certifications but when we don't get that we are broken from the inside. The sense of anxiety crept every moment and hammers on your confidence until it is completely demolished.
But as I have mentioned it can be the biggest demotivation it can also become the greatest motivation in life that pushes you forward without expecting anything from life and people. The most impactful thing about self-doubt is that it shows you the reality that you were either denying or unaware of. Now when reality hits you and the self-doubt constantly kicks you, you start examining your mistakes and start accumulating whatever confidence from that one thing you love doing. And do you know what it's not the people you love who push you? It's you only you, who pushes himself and show a glimmer of hope to oneself.
Now how can you stop self-doubt? It's very difficult to answer this question but if you ask about how can you minimize it, it is something more important to answer. And the answer lies in not expecting anything from anyone, not even you. Now, this is complete bullshit ( I am sorry to say that, but it is ). We are humans and being social animals can't stop expecting things but we learn and by learning I mean we can practice not expecting things from anyone. And as someone has well said that practice makes a man perfect. One day you will be able to stop expecting and start focusing on the process, not the results. When you start loving the process, you start getting desired results. All the outcomes start to come in your favour and every other odd appears very small in front of the satisfaction that you get from the process.
So, let self-doubt embrace you not cripple you because the sense of satisfaction is like a wall for growth whereas unsatisfaction works for your betterment.
