You Are *NOT* Unique | Motivation | Enliven
Do you think you are unique? How about knowing the fact that everyone is unique, and if everyone is unique, then everyone is ordinary and the same.
Everyone takes birth, dies, fakes their life, struggles, fails and succeeds. So, you are not unique. (Well hold on and read the full article). You are just like the 8 billion people on earth. So, stop repenting about everything in your life, and stop crying over what you don’t have. Cristiano Ronaldo was not born with such good football skills or Virat Kohli wasn’t born with millions in his bank account or on Instagram. They created it, and they shaped it. I heard people saying,” it’s all written by God, everything that is happening in your life”, I have also heard “You should write your own story”. Take for example M.S Dhoni could have remained a ticket collector but he chose to play, that is the choice he made. If he had chosen the job of ticket collector, he might be getting a good sum of money and had a family but then who would have gotten the title for Team India in I.C.C Tournament?
So, all this point to one thing, we are not unique, but our choices are. The choices we make in our lives are unique or ordinary. Not everyone chooses to be resilient in the publishing of a fantasy book that has been rejected and refused at every doorstep, but Jk Rowling did and the end result is not something that I have to tell you about.
So, the next time you choose something, choose it wisely because that is what going to define the next moment or step of your life. And it’s a daily exercise. Are you choosing to improve or remain the same? One choice will not make you great but that one choice will either take you towards your purpose or away from it. Further, the thousands of choices will result in making you great. make sure the choices you make are in direction of your goal, random decisions about things which are not much important in your life will end up in unwanted stress and confusion.
The same thing goes with heartbreaks or failures. When someone rejects you, you feel unworthy and insecure that you are not lovable. But the truth is it's their choice, not yours, you can’t make someone choose, but you always have control over how you react to it that’s your choice. As said, "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”
You have to choose between moving on or crying for the person who chose somebody else over you. You have the right to destroy your life for that person or recreate your life without them. And let me be very frank with you, you are not the first person to have gone through heartbreaks, and you will not be the last one. Every day thousands of people are rejected, some of them quit and some of them prepare for the next rejection. Ask yourself are you preparing for the next rejection or ready to surrender to what’s called destiny? Remember Emotional intelligence is as important as The Intelligence quotient in one's life.
Similarly, everyone faces rejections in their career life, and ups and downs are there in everyone’s life but again here choice depends on either learning from failure and improving or just giving baseless excuses and remaining stuck. It's not always about making the decision fast but more important to decide in the right direction where you want to go.
Everyone here wants an extraordinary life but very few people take action and risks.
But how to know whether something is unique or not, which choice will lead you to greatness and which one to the so-called ordinary life? The simplest answer is no one knows. you need to choose to know it, but there can be some indications that can be:
1) If it is making you remain in your comfort zone, then it's definitely not the one.
2) If it scares you, choose it.
3) If it’s adventurous and exciting, it might be the one.
4) If it demands constant improvement, then choose it.
5) At last, follow your instincts.
So next time when you lose somebody, remember there are millions of people who lose somebody every day or face failure remember that’s not the end. That doesn’t mean you can’t feel sad about it, you can but at the same time don’t let that thing kill who you are or what you wanted to become in life, because it’s not worth it regretting about the same situation for days and days.
Conclusion:
Life is hard but it is for everybody. No one can escape the illusions of life because at the end of the day no one is unique. we are just people trying to be better than our old versions and call ourselves unique.
Everyone is at their own pace and purpose in life so don't compare yourself with anyone, and keep improving.
